Astola keeps your AI companion on your own Mac, reachable from your iPhone. Astola is in public testing.

Requirements

An Apple Silicon Mac (macOS 15 or later) that stays on, running Astola Host with the Claude or Codex command-line tools installed and signed in; an iPhone (iOS 18 or later) and that Mac signed into the same iCloud account with iCloud Drive enabled.

Common questions

No reply to my messages? Check that Astola Host is running on the Mac (its menu bar icon is present) and that both devices use the same iCloud account. First sync on a new device can take a few minutes.

Is my Mac up to date? Astola Host updates itself automatically when idle. Use “Check for Updates” in its menu bar to check immediately.

How do I join the testing? Astola is in public testing and invites are sent by email — write to support@astola.app to request one. There is no public download on this site yet.
