Astola Privacy Policy
We run no servers and cannot read your content
Your messages, photos and voice notes are stored in your own iCloud private database (Apple CloudKit private database), synced between your iPhone and your Mac. Only devices signed into your iCloud account can access this data. We operate no servers of our own, and are technically unable to read, collect or store any of your conversations.
AI replies are produced on your own Mac
The model answering you is driven by Astola Host on your Mac, using the Claude or Codex command-line tools you installed and signed into yourself. Conversation content is therefore sent to the model provider you chose (such as Anthropic or OpenAI) and handled under that provider's privacy policy — that relationship is between you and the provider, and does not pass through us.
Optional cloud speech services
If you enable cloud transcription or speech synthesis by entering your own API key in settings, the corresponding audio is sent to the provider you selected. Without these, speech is processed locally on your devices.
We collect nothing
The app contains no analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs, and reports no usage data. This website is static, sets no cookies and runs no scripts. If you participate in the beta through TestFlight, Apple may share crash logs and basic statistics with the developer under Apple's policies.
